What is Induction Lighting?

Induction lighting is based on technology that is fundamentally different from conventional gas sources or incandescent lamps. Induction lamps operate without the electrodes used in gas discharge lamps or the glowing filament of incandescents. Instead, light is generated by means of induction – the transmission of energy by way of a magnetic field – combined with a gas discharge. The new technology solves electrode-aging related problems, resulting
in a maintenance free and long life lamp.
